Lucia choir practices

The Lucia choir practices will be held on Thursday evenings at 18.30 (6.30pm) in office 113 in the SUB.

Scandinavian Literature Festival at UBC

Festival posterThe CENES department at UBC is organizing a literature festival focusing on Scandinavia next Friday on Oct. 19th. The program includes:

– Danish poet and short story writer: Niels Hav will read from his new collection of poetry “We Are Here”

– Swedish writer Jonas Hassan Khemiri will talk about Swedish literature and immigration.

– Mads Bunch, Lena Karlstrom and Wilhelm Emilsson will give papers about Scandinavian Literature.

Reception (with wine and cheese) 4-6 pm in Graham House, Green College.

The event takes place at Green College (Coach House) on the UBC campus between 9am-4pm. The address of Green College is  6201 Cecil Green Park Road.

It is a free event and should be worth a visit.

 

Movie night!

On Tuesday Oct. 9th, SNCA is throwing its first Scandinavian movie night of the year.

The movie starts at 7pm (19.00) and the location is 2026 Westbrook (just off campus, on your way towards the village).

There will be free popcorn….
